7 Military Reinforcement Camp (7MRC) Singapore (19/1/42)

January 19, 1942February 5, 2017

A most unexpected and pleasant surprise to meet Doris like this. Doris and Grace (Harral) had brought the De Soto (car) down together with a little luggage; none of it Richardson’s.

No news or orders for us in camp, so Richardson stayed at a friend’s house. Pollock, Ross and most of the British Other Ranks out having various beat-ups (drinking), etc. Jolly good idea too. Accommodation in 7 MRC bloody awful. No thought of staying there if avoidable.
