Telok Anson, Perak (25/12/41)

December 25, 1941December 25, 2016

Our Commanding Officer had hoped to give us a Christmas dinner, but this was not possible. During the morning enemy aircraft gunned our troops in Teluk Anson.

The new launch that was kitted out was a Thornycroft Diesel No. 43 which Richardson described as a “fine craft”.

The river patrol commenced at 21.30 hours upriver and continued to midnight. On guard all night. Richardson describes it as being delightful on the river, but we never know when the hostile action will break out. Still quiet however.
