Changlun, Kedah

December 6, 1941December 4, 2016

On the early evening 6th of Dec 1941, the Independent Company was at it’s training camp in GEMILING when it was ordered to go to CHANGLUN.

The Independent Company arrived at CHANGLUN, near the border with Thailand around 20.30 hrs, with the Company HQ setting up in the Immigration Office at the cross-roads north of Changlun. Described as there being incessant rain that night.

7th December : All quiet.

8th December 0800. Nine Enemy bombers passed over, bombing of Alor Star (Alor Setar)
